The Color of Autumn 2008 Standards Please read carefully. Some new standards have been implemented. Media and Content · Watercolor, oil, acrylic, and miscellaneous 2-dimensional media · “Color of Autumn” is the name of the show only. Paintings need not follow this theme. Eligibility · Open to residents of San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Kern and Monterey Counties. Entrants do not need to belong to the Paso Robles Art Association. · All work must be original. Work must not have been previously exhibited in San Luis Obispo County. · No photo/mechanical/digital/computer processes are permitted. Entry Forms and Fees · Discounted fees with Pre-registration · Two paintings may be submitted. Only one will be included in the show. · Fees are non-refundable. · Forms will be filled out and fees paid on entry day. Changes to pre-registration entry cancels discount · Any painting not collected on time will require $5/day storage fee. Presentation · All paintings must be properly framed with wire, ready for hanging. · All paintings need to be signed by the artist. · Colored mats are not appropriate for juried shows. · Elaborate frames are not appropriate for juried shows. · Paintings, including frame, cannot exceed a perimeter of 150 inches, · Due to weight limitations, work “under glass”, with a perimeter exceeding 100 inches must be under Plexiglas rather than glass. Sales · All paintings must be available for sale. · Sold paintings may not be removed before the end of the show without permission of the PRAA President or Show Chairperson. · The Paso Robles Art Association/Castoro Cellars will retain a 30% commission on any sales. If any unsold painting is removed before the end of the show, the 30% commission will be charged to the artist BEFORE the painting is allowed to be removed from the Show.
