WATERCOLOR Tom Fong Thurs, Fri and Sat, Apr 10, 11 & 12 10:00- 4:00 $170 We are so excited to have Tom Fong come to Paso Robles to teach this workshop! He is the past President of Watercolor West, a renowned painter, and great teacher. This workshop will encourage students to paint free and loose through the creative spirit of intuition and improvisation. . Tom paints in a semi-abstract manner, wet-into-wet, working loosely with fresh paint and bold strokes. He lets chance and improvisation take its course, maintaining the white of the paper to intensify his limited palette. He refines the painting with washes of shadow patterns and the application of calligraphic brush strokes to create excitement and interest, always keeping balance and harmony in mind. The class will paint outside when weather permits.

Your creativity and passion will be rewarded when you complete several original, ready to frame, collages during this informative, action packed and fun workshop. While living in Japan, Lynn became fascinated with the colors and textures of “Washi” (handmade Japanese papers). She has continued to use Washi (and her memories of Japan) as her creative medium.
